Headaches - Migraines
Written by Anthony

Headaches are so common that some people think getting a headache is just normal! Headaches are a symptom indicating that something is wrong. Headaches can present in many different types, such as:
- tension
- cluster
- sinus
- migraine
- many more
A common underlying cause of many of these different headaches is impingement of the nerves of the upper region of the neck. Aspirin or Tylenol may cover up the headache, but they do not correct the underlying structural cause.

THE SPINE AND HEADACHES:
Researchers have often noted the relationship between the spine and many types of headaches. For example, one study of 6,000 long-term (2-25 years) headache sufferers revealed that neck injury (whiplash, falls) was the most important factor in the cause of the headach and should be suspected in every nonspecific case of headache.

Soil Preparation
Written by Mary

Soil preparation, especially for a new garden, is very important.  The whole purpose behind preparing soil is to create a fertile textured space where plants can grow strong roots.  Year after year of soil preparation will only serve to improve your soil quality over time.

Think of preparing soil like preparing a good chicken soup.  You pick your ingredients (nutrients) in all different shapes and forms (leaves, manure, compost).  You add the ingredients in different amounts at different times.  Stirring up your mixture here and there, your result is a rich, hearty, nutritious…patch of soil.

Schools of Yoga
Written by Mary

As we indicated earlier, there is much confusion about exactly what yoga is, especially since there seem to be so many approaches, all described by the name "yoga." A mountain climber may take a variety of routes to reach the top of a mountain. From the plain at the base of the mountain, all these paths seem distinct and different, but from the mountain summit, the view is always the same! The same is true of the seeming diversity of the yogic paths. These different paths are not mutually exclusive or conflicting, but are intended to accommodate the various inclinations, personalities, and temperaments of individual students, and yet they all have the same goal.
